Rancho Mirage, CA – June 30, 2017 – The Caroline Victoria Coldicutt Arts Foundation (CVCAF) today announced its annual Caroline Victoria Coldicutt Scholarship Award will be granted to Adrian Hernandez, a visual arts senior at Idyllwild Arts Academy.
“Adrian encompasses the true significance of what it means to be a creative artist,” said Elizabeth Wood Coldicutt, president of the CVCAF. We are so pleased he is our Idyllwild scholarship recipient this year.”
According to Shaunna Lehr, Adrian’s Visual Arts instructor, “Adrian’s work for his senior show was imaginative and creative, as was his willingness to take risks and try new media combined with a unique approach.” Further, from David Reid-Marr, Visual Arts Chair, “One of (Adrian’s) strengths is his reflective mindset, as it allows him to constantly improve and build upon his original ideas.”
The CVCAF Art scholarship is paid annually from an endowment that was established at Idyllwild Arts Academy in January 2011. The annual award is based on artistic merit as well as financial need and is in recognition of an Idyllwild Arts student’s outstanding achievement in any creative form – fine art, music, film, theatre and dance.
