Our Mission

CVC ARTS offers initiatives to support student arts education – to inform and assist aspiring student artists about how they can implement their creative ideas that can positively impact their families, schools and communities. These initiatives include:

1)  Offering financial support to young artists through art scholarships and awards at various schools in the US and Canada. Since 2006, the CVCAF has awarded over 100+ scholarships and awards to students at the following schools: 

  • Emily Carr University of Art + Design, Vancouver, B.C.
  • Idyllwild Arts Academy, Idyllwild, CA
  • Palm Valley School, Rancho Mirage, CA
  • Shawnigan Lake School, Vancouver Island, B.C.

2)  Providing funding for our CVCAF Arts Education Outreach Program which include sponsorship and partnering with numerous schools and organizations including:

  • Aviva High School, Los Angeles – Summer Arts Program (a special education school for abused and neglected adolescent girls)
  • Bishops School, La Jolla, CA – School arts program
  • Boys and Girls Club of Cathedral City, CA – Arts program
  • Children’s Discovery Museum, Rancho Mirage, CA – Art outreach
  • Claremont Graduate University, Claremont, CA – Art outreach
  • College of the Desert, Palm Desert, CA – Fine arts department
  • Creative Visions, Malibu, CA – “Rock Your World” arts education
  • Dandelion School, Beijing, China – Art supplies for rural immigrant children
  • Desert Christian School, Bermuda Dunes, CA – School arts program
  • Diamonds in the Raw, Los Angeles – Film boot camp (for foster care and at-risk teen girls)
  • French-American School, San Diego, CA – School arts program
  • Guanyindang Primary School, Jingzhou, China –Art supplies for children
  • Horrace Mann Middle School, Los Angeles, CA – School arts program
  • John Thomas Dye, Bel Air, CA – School arts program
  • LAA/Pegasus, Palm Desert, CA – Art auction
  • Mary Pickford Film Institute, Los Angeles, CA – Film boot camp for at-risk students
  • Mobile Film Classroom, Los Angeles, CA – Mobile film classroom for at-risk students
  • Monarch School, San Diego, CA – School arts program;
  • Our Father’s Home (Orphanage), Bali, Indonesia – Art supplies and related art material for children 
  • Pitzer College, Claremont, CA – Art outreach
  • Pomona College, Claremont, CA – Art outreach
  • Royal Theatrical Fund, London, England – Art outreach
  • Seattle Girls’ Choir, Seattle, WA – Choir program
  • University of Redlands, Redlands, CA – Art outreach
  • University of San Diego, San Diego, CA – Art outreach

Funding for our scholarships, awards and arts education outreach are provided through donations and sales of the following CVCAF programs:  

–     Caroline Victoria Rose for the Arts, our hybrid tea rose, provides a lasting reminder of the beauty art brings to the lives of each and everyone one of us;

–    Mary Pickford – The Muse of the Movies, our dvd film documentary, won Best Film in the 2014 Universal Film Festival and a Satellite Award by the International Press Academy in 2009;

–     CVCAF Gallery, showcases our donated artworks for sale featuring artists such as Alexandre Renoir, Alphonse Mucha, Jean Miro and Fabian Perez.
