CVCAF Announces It’s 2022 Art Scholarship Recipient at Shawnigan Lake School

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Palm Desert, CA – August 31, 2022 –

The Caroline Victoria Coldicutt Arts Foundation (CVCAF) today announced that its annual Caroline Victoria Coldicutt Art Scholarship recipient at Shawnigan Lake School is 11th grade student, Ivanna U. (’23). 

“The Caroline Victoria Coldicutt Art Scholarship is given each year to a Shawnigan Lake School student who exhibits outstanding talent in fine art,” said Elizabeth Wood Coldicutt, president of the CVCAF. “We are pleased to honor Ivanna U. as this year’s scholarship recipient.”   According to Ivanna’s Art Studio 12 instructor, “Ivanna (a visual artist from Mexico), has completed her first year at Shawnigan.  In addition to her incredible artistic talent and kind approach to her fellow artists, she embodies a complete sense of appreciation and love of art, inspiration and creativity.”  

The CVCAF Art Scholarship is made available to a student who has demonstrated outstanding artistic merit and is paid annually from an endowment that was established at Shawnigan Lake School in 2008. The purpose of the CVCAF art scholarship is to inspire students to reach their highest level of achievement in their art discipline and to encourage and support student artists toward their creative endeavors. 

Winners of CVCAF’s 2022 Independent Spirit Art Awards at Shawnigan Lake School are:  Tina X. (’22) and Grace L. (’22).  These Art Awards are gifted annually based on artistic excellence, creativity, independent spirit and/or social consciousness.

The Caroline Victoria Coldicutt Arts Foundation (CVCAF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2006 to commemorate the artistic passion of Caroline Victoria Coldicutt (1987 – 2004).
