Rancho Mirage, CA – June 30, 2018 – The Caroline Victoria Coldicutt Arts Foundation (CVCAF) today announced its annual Caroline Victoria Coldicutt Art Award will be granted to Ziyuan “Tiva” Tao, a Visual Arts graduate from Beijing, China.

“We are so pleased that Tiva won our 2018 art award, and very deservingly winning the Scholastic Art & Writing Gold Medal Award,” stated Elizabeth Wood Coldicutt.  According to Tiva, “I value uncertainty.  I don’t want to define myself by a single personality or style, (so) My Artist Statement is to let the viewer experience the work.”

The CVCAF Art scholarship is paid annually from an endowment that was established at Idyllwild Arts Academy in January 2011. The annual art award is based on artistic merit as well as financial need and is in recognition of an Idyllwild Arts student’s outstanding achievement in any creative form – fine art, music, film, theatre, writing and dance.
